East View Patriots (Georgetown, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX), 54-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East View upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Patriots host Bastrop (Bastrop, TX) to play the Bears in a bout on Friday, January 5. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Hippos play the Marble Falls Mustangs (Marble Falls, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Hutto will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
