Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Perry Panthers (Perry, GA) and the visiting Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA), saw Perry's basketball squad hold off Atkinson County by a tally of 59-57.

With the victory, Perry improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA) to confront the Braves in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Rebels confront the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 28. Atkinson County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
