Centerville Bulldogs (Groveton, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Colmesneil Bulldogs (Colmesneil, TX), 39-24 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Centerville upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Wells (Wells, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 1A Region IV District 27 bout on Friday, January 5. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Colmesneil will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
