Iredell Dragons (Iredell, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cranfills Gap Lions (Cranfills Gap, TX), 40-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Iredell upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Dragons host Gholson (Waco, TX) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Gholson lost 59-20 in their recent non-league bout against Itasca (Itasca, TX)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Cranfills Gap will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
