Darlington Redbirds (Darlington, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Shullsburg Miners (Shullsburg, WI), 39-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Darlington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Redbirds host Platteville (Platteville, WI) to play the Hillmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Hillmen go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Platteville lost 63-40 in their recent non-league bout against New Glarus (New Glarus, WI)

Next up, the Miners play the Black Hawk Warriors (South Wayne, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Shullsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 52-50 non-league loss to Brodhead (Brodhead, WI).
