Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), 37-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Taft upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Brennan (San Antonio, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Brennan won 48-38 in their recent non-league bout against Johnson (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Alamo Heights Mules (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Harlingen will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Mules come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 52-39 non-league win over Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX).
