Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lipan Indians (Lipan, TX), 46-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vandegrift upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Vipers travel to Godley (Godley, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, November 17. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Godley won 42-35 in their recent non-league bout against Atascocita (Humble, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Lipan will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 37-36 non-league loss to Mabank (Mabank, TX).
