The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes to 55 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belle Chasse for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 28. L.W. Higgins will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 51-25 non-league loss to McDonogh 35 (New Orleans, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.

The Hurricanes (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Independence (Independence, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.
