The Murrah Mustangs basketball team (Jackson, MS), was nudged 50-47 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS)
The Blue Waves now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton County for a non-league battle on Monday, November 20. Port Gibson will confront a Cougars team coming off a 62-27 non-league loss to Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.
The Mustangs (0-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS). The Titans come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Ridgeland edged Greenville (Greenville, MS), 58-30, in a non-league battle.
