In Friday's non-league contest, the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball team held off the host West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), by a score of 40-35.

The Gryphons now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Owen for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 28.

The Rebels (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
