In Friday's non-league outing, the Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 45-31.

The Cardinal (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Garinger (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Garinger was topped by Mooresville (Mooresville, NC), 46-38, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Palisades for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 21. East Mecklenburg will battle a Pumas team coming off a 58-38 non-league win over Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 1-0.
