The Hobbs Eagles basketball team (Hobbs, NM), was nudged 73-69 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX)

The Panthers now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland Christian for a non-league battle on Monday, November 21. Permian will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 69-32 non-league win over Midland Classical Academy (Midland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-2.

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Rams come into the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Montwood edged Irvin (El Paso, TX), 58-15, in a non-league battle.
