The Shannon Red Raiders basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Ripley Tigers to 41 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Raiders now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Caledonia for a 4A Region 1 contest on Saturday, November 19. Shannon will battle a Cavaliers team coming off a 68-65 non-league loss to Sulligent (Sulligent, AL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-1.

The Tigers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Saltillo was defeated by New Albany (New Albany, MS), 61-53, in a non-league contest.
