The Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) basketball nipped the host Buckeye Bucks (Medina, OH), 37-32 in Friday's non-league test.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their test against East (Akron, OH). The Dragons go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, East was tipped by Beachwood (Beachwood, OH), 56-14, in a non-league test.

The Bucks now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cloverleaf for a non-league test on Monday, November 21. Buckeye will meet a Colts team coming off a 43-42 non-league loss to Barberton (Barberton, OH). The Colts record now stands at 0-1.
