Chavez Lobos (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northbrook Raiders (Houston, TX), 33-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chavez upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Westside (Houston, TX) to play the Wolves in a 6A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, December 2. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Raiders play the Alief Elsik Rams (Houston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 19. Northbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 52-27 non-league win over Washington (Houston, TX).
