The Poetry Community Christian Pioneer (Poetry, TX) basketball nipped the host Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm (Athens, TX), 17-15 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pioneer (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Waxahachie Prep (Waxahachie, TX). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Waxahachie Prep was tipped by Athens Christian Preparatory Academy (Athens, TX), 52-43, in a non-league test.

The Storm now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Tyler Classical Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 28. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 48-43 non-league loss to Christian Home Educators (Sulphur Springs, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
