In Saturday's non-league outing, the Deer Park Deer (Deer Park, TX) basketball squad edged the host Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX), by a count of 56-53.
The Deer (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against La Porte (La Porte, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 3-4 record. In their last outing, La Porte held off Sam Rayburn (Pasadena, TX), 61-44, in a non-league outing.
