Cordova Wolves (Cordova, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), 66-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Cordova upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolves travel to Kirby (Memphis, TN) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Kirby won 66-55 in their recent non-league bout against City University School of Liberal Arts (Memphis, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Bartlett Panthers (Bartlett, TN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 18. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 62-34 non-league win over West Memphis (West Memphis, AR).
