The Union City Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Jackson Christian Eagles to 45 in the Golden Tornadoes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Tornadoes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Trinity Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, November 20. Union City will meet a Lions team coming off a 66-57 non-league loss to Harding Academy (Memphis, TN). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gleason (Gleason, TN). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Gleason was outscored by Westview (Martin, TN), 46-44, in a non-league contest.
