The Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX), 45-44 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Fort Bend Austin (Sugar Land, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Fort Bend Austin got by Crosby (Crosby, TX), 70-62, in a non-league test.
The Rangers now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Sam Rayburn for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 21. Sterling will encounter a Texans squad coming off a 61-44 non-league loss to La Porte (La Porte, TX). The Texans record now stands at 1-6.
