The Lamesa Tornadoes basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Monahans Loboes to 27 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pecos for a non-league contest on Monday, November 20. Lamesa will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-37 non-league loss to Big Spring (Big Spring, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

The Loboes (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Alpine (Alpine, TX). The Bucks enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Alpine triumphed over Marfa (Marfa, TX), 69-33, in a non-league contest.
