In Saturday's non-league match, the host Mitchell County Eagles basketball team scored a tight 71-64 triumph over the Upson-Lee Knights.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 match, on Friday, December 1. Mitchell County will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Upson-Lee moves to 0-2 on the year. The Knights travel to Taylor County (Butler, GA) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Saturday, November 25. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-0.
