    • Texas High School Basketball - Nixon nudges Morton Ranch

    November 18, 2023: Katy, TX 77449

    Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

    With the win, Nixon upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Ray (Corpus Christi, TX) to clash with the Texans in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Texans go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Ray won 61-56 in their recent non-league bout against Highlands (San Antonio, TX)

    Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings (Sugar Land, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Morton Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 73-60 non-league win over Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX).
