    • Texas High School Basketball - Smithson Valley knocked off by Americas

    November 18, 2023: Spring Branch, TX 78070

    The Americas Trail Blazers basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Smithson Valley Rangers to 32 in the Trail Blazers non-league triumph on Saturday.

    The Trail Blazers now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Tuesday, November 21. Americas will battle a Cougars team coming off a 61-44 non-league win over Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 8-1.

    The Rangers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Southside (San Antonio, TX). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Southside was defeated by Cole (San Antonio, TX), 36-34, in a non-league contest.
