Illinois High School Basketball - Cairo overwhelmed by Salem

The Salem Wildcats basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Cairo Pilots to 23 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairfield for a non-league contest on Monday, November 20. Salem will battle a Mules team coming off a 53-27 league win over Flora (Flora, IL). The Mules record now stands at 1-1.
The Pilots (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Carterville (Carterville, IL). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Carterville triumphed over Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL), 59-23, in a non-league contest.
