The Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) basketball crushed the host Okaw Valley Timberwolves (Bethany, IL), 59-29 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Miners (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Silver Stallions go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Christ Our Rock Lutheran walloped Pana (Pana, IL), 41-34, in a non-league test.
The Timberwolves now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Arthur-Okaw Christian for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 21. Okaw Valley will encounter a Conquering Riders squad coming off a 64-45 non-league loss to HRK (Gurnee, IL). The Conquering Riders record now stands at 2-1.
