The Westwood Panthers basketball team (Palestine, TX), was nudged 39-35 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kerens for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 21.
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Slocum was nudged by Hudson (Lufkin, TX), 43-22, in a non-league battle.
