In Saturday's non-league outing, the South Cobb Eagles (Austell, GA) basketball squad felled the visiting Lovett Lions (Atlanta, GA), by a margin of 49-37.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 0-4 record. In their last outing, Kennesaw Mountain was beaten by Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA), 50-18, in a non-league outing.
The Lions now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chattahoochee for a non-league match on Monday, November 20. Lovett will meet a Cougars team coming off a 54-19 non-league loss to Creekside (Fairburn, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
