West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX), 50-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Brook upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Bruins travel to Fort Bend Willowridge (Houston, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Fort Bend Willowridge won 43-38 in their recent non-league bout against La Porte (La Porte, TX)

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Dickinson Gators (Dickinson, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Manvel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 70-41 non-league loss to Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX).
