Warren Warriors (Warren, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Slocum Mustangs (Elkhart, TX), 41-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Warren upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Brookeland (Brookeland, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 21. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Brookeland won 52-33 in their recent non-league bout against Cushing (Cushing, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 18. Slocum will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 32-29 non-league loss to Woden (Woden, TX).
