The Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting WISH Academy Owls (Los Angeles, CA), 55-43 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Torrance for a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 20. Hawthorne will play a Tartars team coming off a 66-30 non-league win over Buena Park (Buena Park, CA). The Tartars record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, WISH Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Gertz-Ressler (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Pumas in a non-league bout on Friday, November 22. The Pumas go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Gertz-Ressler lost 102-12 in their recent non-league bout against Bernstein (Hollywood, CA)
