In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Apex Friendship Patriots basketball team scored a big 56-24 triumph over the Lee County Yellow Jackets.
The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Garner (Garner, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Garner was overwhelmed by Rolesville (Rolesville, NC), 53-38, in a non-league match.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jordan-Matthews for a non-league match on Thursday, November 20. Lee County will face a Jets squad coming off a 55-52 non-league win over Phoenix Academy (High Point, NC). The Jets record now stands at 1-0.
