The New Site Royals (New Site, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), 73-70 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Royals (7-0) will now prepare for their test against West Union (Myrtle, MS). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, West Union got by Ashland (Ashland, MS), 76-43, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to South Pontotoc for a non-league test on Monday, November 21. Alcorn Central will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 77-12 non-league win over Vardaman (Vardaman, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 7-1.
