Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN), 42-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Linton-Stockton upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Miners host South Knox (Vincennes, IN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 4-2. South Knox won 49-40 in their recent non-league bout against Evansville Mater Dei (Evansville, IN)

Next up, the Cougars play the Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. North Daviess will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 47-40 league win over Shoals (Shoals, IN).
