Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Memorial upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 19. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Lake Ridge won 63-37 in their recent non-league bout against Cypress Creek (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Clark Cougars (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Steele will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 68-56 non-league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX).
