The North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX), 61-60 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Greenville got by Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX), 64-11, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Chisum for a non-league test on Monday, November 21. Van Alstyne will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-41 non-league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-5.
