The Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) basketball crushed the host Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA), 70-20 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Pacific Ridge (Carlsbad, CA). The Firebird go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Pacific Ridge was trounced by Grossmont (El Cajon, CA), 38-25, in a non-league test.
The Lancers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Monte Vista for a non-league test on Friday, November 25. Hilltop will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 45-43 non-league loss to Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 0-2.
