Illinois High School Basketball - Mt. Olive holds off Gibault Catholic

The Mt. Olive Wildcats basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Gibault Catholic Hawks to 44 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Marissa/Coulterville for a non-league game on Thursday, November 21. Mt. Olive will confront a Meteors team coming off a 53-21 non-league win over Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Gibault Catholic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Metro-East Lutheran (Edwardsville, IL) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Thursday, November 21. The Knights go into the game with a record of 0-1. Metro-East Lutheran lost 53-21 in their recent non-league game against Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL)
