Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) followers went home pleased Tuesday as they saw their flag football team nip the visiting Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA), 32-27 in a league battle.

With the win, Metter advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Washington County (Sandersville, GA) to encounter the Golden Hawks in a D1 Area 4 battle on Thursday, November 21. The Golden Hawks go into the battle with a record of 10-2. Washington County lost 14-6 in their recent league battle against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA)

The Tigers now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Bryan County for a non-league battle on Thursday, November 21. Claxton will encounter a Redskins team coming off a 42-0 league loss to Jenkins (Savannah, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 2-15.
