The Cypress Bay Lightning basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Everglades Gators to 43 in the Lightning non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lightning now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Coral Springs for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 3.

With the loss, Everglades falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gators host Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, FL) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Thursday, November 21. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-1. Stoneman Douglas lost 63-44 in their recent non-league game against Pembroke Pines Charter (Pembroke Pines, FL)
