Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Mary's Academy nips West Jefferson

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host St. Mary's Academy Cougars basketball team scored a close 22-18 win over the West Jefferson Buccaneers.
The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against East Jefferson (Metairie, LA). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, East Jefferson was nudged by Lutcher (Lutcher, LA), 42-35, in a non-league match.
The Buccaneers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to GEO Next Generation for a non-league match on Friday, November 21. West Jefferson will face a Tigers squad coming off a 53-43 non-league win over Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
