Match Summary
Rocky Hill faced off against Dublin on Wednesday, with the Mariners grabbing an early lead when junior Collin Zito sent in a lovely cross from the left side that junior captain John David O'Hara headed in. Six minutes before half time the Rocky Hill keeper lost ball in the sun, colliding with a Dublin attacker which resulted in a penalty that was dispatched to tie the game. However, right before halftime, freshman Emiliano Gutierrez took a free kick, hitting a low driven shot that beat the keeper to restore the lead. In the second half the Mariners looked a different team, moving the ball quickly and connecting strings of passes. Gutierrez scored his second off a nice assist from sophomore captain Carter Holubesko. Minutes later John David and sophomore Jack Casey played a beautiful one-two, with Casey finishing top-shelf. O'Hara wrapped up the scoring with his second header goal on a corner from Holubesko.
