Virginia High School Football - Bishop O'Connell holds off Bishop Ireton

The Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) football tipped the host Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 17-13 in Saturday's league outing.

The Knights now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Paul VI for a Washington Catholic - Metro outing on Saturday, November 9. Bishop O'Connell will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 54-7 non-league win over Saint John Paul the Great Catholic (Dumfries, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 7-2.

With the defeat, Bishop Ireton drops to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD) to clash with the Knights in a Washington Catholic - Metro outing on Friday, November 8. The Knights come into the outing with a record of 7-2. St. Mary's Ryken won 51-12 in their recent league outing against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC)
