Texas High School Football - Mercedes crushed by Porter

The Porter Cowboys walloped the visiting Mercedes Tigers football team by a score of 56-13 in Saturday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cowboys face the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge, on Friday, November 8. Porter will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Javelinas go into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 34-7 league loss to Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX).

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings go into the 5A-2 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Pace was ripped by Lopez (Brownsville, TX), 24-21, in a league challenge.
