Delaware High School Football - Red Lion Christian Academy trounces Newark

In Saturday's league match, the visiting Red Lion Christian Academy Lions football squad scored a decisive 49-7 triumph over the Newark Yellowjackets.

The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Caravel (Bear, DE). The Buccaneers come into the 2A District 1 match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Caravel routed Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE), 41-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets meet the Concord Raiders (Wilmington, DE) in a 2A District 1 match, on Saturday, November 9. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 1-8 record after their 28-0 league win over Delcastle Technical (Wilmington, DE).
