The Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball crushed the host Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX), 66-36 in Monday's non-league test.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Harlingen South walloped Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX), 73-53, in a non-league test.
The Raiders now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they travel to Churchill for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 28. Taft will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 63-60 non-league loss to Holmes (San Antonio, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 4-4.
