West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Heber Springs Panthers (Heber Springs, AR), 61-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Side upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Shirley (Shirley, AR) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 1A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 21. Heber Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 57-38 league win over Calico Rock (Calico Rock, AR).
