Rising Star Wildcats (Rising Star, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rochelle Hornets (Rochelle, TX), 48-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rising Star upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mullin (Mullin, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Hornets play the Sidney Eagles (Sidney, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 30. Rochelle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
