Providence Academy (Johnson City, TN) backers were thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team topple the visiting Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN), 70-62 in a non-league game.

The now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Appalachian Christian Team Sports (ACTS) for a non-league game on Friday, November 21. Providence Academy will confront a Warriors team coming off a 83-58 non-league loss to Unaka (Elizabethton, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Johnson County drops to 0-1 on the year. The Longhorns travel to University School (Johnson City, TN) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league outing on Friday, November 21. The Buccaneers enter the outing with a record of 0-2. University School lost 61-52 in their recent non-league outing against David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN)
