Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) backers went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX), 50-37 in a non-league contest.

The Wildcats (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 9-0 record. In their last contest, Whitehouse topped Ennis (Ennis, TX), 48-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Palmer Bulldogs (Palmer, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 21. Ennis will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 63-38 non-league loss to Salado (Salado, TX).
